Tandem lifts require more than two cranes working at the same time, they require teamwork, planning, communication, and strict attention to safety.
Every lift must be properly planned, engineered, supervised, and completed according to the approved lift plan and all applicable regulations. Crane capacity, ground conditions, rigging, load weight, radius, and load balance must be confirmed before the lift begins.
A qualified lift director, clear communication, one designated signal person, properly inspected rigging, and established exclusion zones are essential. Everyone involved must understand their role, follow the plan, and speak up immediately if conditions change or a hazard is identified.
There is no room for shortcuts during a tandem lift. Plan it. Communicate it. Execute it safely.
